Nothing screams summer like a white linen dress. So, during a stop at Aimee — a great little boutique located in the heart of Des Moines’ East Village — I was thrilled to find the perfect one. Made by Derhy, the loose-fitting, midi-length dress is girlie and fun and is embroidered with beautiful flowers. While you could easily pair with nude strappy gladiator sandals, I went for something a little more unexpected. These calf hair sandals and thick black frames added a touch of masculinity for a casual, cool street style.
Style tips: Linen doesn’t transition all that well into fall. I’d hang it up soon. Also, because the material is so thin and lightweight, it can be hard to wear a thicker, underwire strapless with this outfit. Consider a simple lace cami from Cosabella (Free People and Victoria Secret Pink have more affordable options). Here, I wore cheaper petals which are a lifesaver!
