The Oh So Versatile Trench Dress

I love this oh so versatile trench dress from Banana Republic. The olive-green is on-trend for fall and a great neutral shade that can be easily paired with other patterns, colors and textures.

Here, I buttoned only the top and then wrapped it closer to the skin and tied with its belt to better highlight the waist. For running errands, this look called for casual sandals, a larger satchel and oversized tortoise shades. The hat goes with everything. ; )

I’ll also wear this undone and open (think open trench coat) with skinny jeans, a printed pastel blouse or cami in a bold shade like mustard, feminine leather cross body and suede shoes.

Two totally different looks playing off one classic wardrobe staple!

Bravo, Banana Republic and Marissa Webb! What a positive influence she has had on this brand in only a few seasons. After a long hiatus, I’m a loyal customer again.

And even better?! I’d been swooning over the Marissa Webb version at Intermix that retails for nearly $500. With Webb in the creative driver’s seat at Banana Republic, we can have designer-inspired pieces at very affordable prices. I picked this dress up during a 50 percent off Friends & Family sale for $65. Deal!

Head to your nearest BR location to check out oversized sweaters, blush and burgundy shades, plaids, incredible shoes, camo prints and more.
